Purvam krutayuge vipra vruthe svayambhuvah anthare।
Tretayuge atha samprapte mano vaivasvatasya tu ||
Summary: After the Krita Yuga and the Svayambhuva Manvantara had passed, the need for the science of dance (Natya Veda) arose at the beginning of the Treta Yuga during the time of Vaivasvata Manu.
